Weekly Update
September 11, 2022
THANK YOU! Thank you so much for a great start to our year. The children were excited, prepared, and hard working. I also appreciate all the supplies that were sent in. They will be very useful throughout the year.
NWEA: Our window for taking the reading and math NWEA will be from Sept. 12th - Sept. 23rd. Students cannot prepare for this test ahead of time. Please continue to have your child get plenty of rest each night and eat a healthy breakfast. Thank you.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: I am excited to welcome everyone back into the classroom on September 19th from 5:45 - 6:30. I will begin promptly at 5:45, do a quick run through of the key details of Room 104, provide a copy of my powerpoint both in paper and on the blog, and be done by about 6:15. After that I will stay around to answer questions. Please note that I WILL NOT be answering any questions about your child at that time. I am happy to answer these questions in email, in pre-arrranged meetings, or at conferences in October. Thank you for your understanding.
LAPS FOR LINCOLN: Mark your calendars for Friday, October 14th, 5-7pm for our Laps for Lincoln celebration!
GETTING TO KNOW YOU: On Sunday, I emailed a "getting to know you" form that is filled out for all Lincoln students. If you did not receive it, please first send me your current email at cstarks@sjschools.org and second click on this link to fill in the information. Thank you for your time.
MRS. KNUTH'S BLOG: Please visit the Lincoln School Family Blog to stay updated on what is happening at Lincoln School this year. Links to all the teachers' blogs can be found here as well.
NIGHTLY READING: Students are expected to read every night for 15 min. to begin the year. Students may read books from school, the library, or home. Once we begin using technology they are welcome to read books on Epic, BookFlix, or RAZ. We will discuss this more as the year continues
DAILY SCHEDULE: Please remember that the beginning of the school day is one of the most important times as the day’s expectations and routines are established. Having your child to school on time means they don’t walk into the room and start their day trying to figure out what is happening. Thank you so much for your help with this.
