Weekly Update October 31, 2022 10/31 We have Media Center Halloween Party / Parade - 3:15 p.m. 11/2 We have art 11/3 Late Start School will start at 9:25. 11/4 We have gym 11/5 We have music Word Work : Our class will learn words that follow the long e digraph syllable pattern this week and next week. Long e digraph syllable patterns use the following vowel teams ie, ea, and ee. The following words are examples of this pattern chief, stream, and sneeze. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to practice the long e digraph word list. Google Classroom: Just a reminder our Google Classroom has our weekly plan posted each week. Weekly Update October 24, 2022 10/24 We have Media Center. 10/25 We have art. 10/26 Late Start School will start at 9:25. 10/27 We have gym. 10/28 We have music. Halloween Party: Thank you to all who have volunteered to help and/or send in supplies for our party. The students are looking forward to this celebration. Students may wear their costumes all day and we will have an all school costume parade outside (inside through the gym if it is rainy) on the blacktop at 3:15. Word Work : This week your child will learn words that have the long-o digraph pattern. This rule includes words like moon, snow, bowl, soak, and hoe. The words can be found on Spelling City to practice. Please remember to use the list that comes home to practice reading words, talk about the word’s meaning, and look for common patterns in the way the words are spelled. The students filled the bead jar. They made a list of celebrations. First, they may wear pajamas tomorrow for pajama day. Also they may bring in candy for snack time and gum is allowed. Please do not feel your child should be able to spell all the words on this list. Fall Party: Our fall party will be held on October 31, 2022.
