Weekly Update
Week of May 15, 2023
Thank You: Thank you so much for a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week. All of the notes and heartwarming gestures were greatly appreciated. I feel very lucky to work with such thoughtful, motivated children each day. The support you give along with our dynamic PTO is amazing. I hope you know how much you and your children are appreciated.
WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about adding suffix endings -er and -or to words as in the words painter and sailor. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 23 practice list for the week.
FIELD TRIP VOLUNTEERS: If you are planning to join us for our field trip to the carousel, bluff, and the parade on Friday, May 26th, please let us know by May 19th. Students will be sharing information they learn about the memorials, statues, and other interesting places along the bluff after we visit the carousel.
Parents are welcome to join us at the Heritage Center on Wednesday, May 31st but there is limited space in some of the stations, so please let us know by May 26th. Thank you
*Volunteer forms must be on file and processed before the trip. Please allow at least a week for processing. You may pick up forms in the office or call the office (926-3700) to have forms sent home with your child.
Thank you
